Suffield Police Post Video Showing Restaurant Burglary

Authorities are seeking to identify the person who broke into the River's Edge Restaurant early Friday morning.

Suffield police have posted a surveillance video on YouTube, showing an early-morning burglary Friday at the River's Edge Restaurant on the corner of Thompsonville Road and Route 159.

In the video, taken from above and behind the cash register, a person is shown breaking through the glass on the bottom part of the door, then scampering inside. The person is out of sight for about 15 seconds before coming back into camera range and fleeing through the hole in the glass.

On their Facebook page, police posted the video and some still frames from the burglary. They said the suspect was driving an SUV.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to contact Officer Richard Devin at 860-668-3870.
