Holly LaBarre, Neighbor

I work from  home with my husband Denis LaBarre who is the owner of LABCO Air and Water Balancing.  Working from home has worked out perfectly for me as I have two children, DJ and Monique LaBarre.  My son is currently a Junior at Suffield High School and my daughter is in Eighth grade at the Suffield Middle School.  One year on my anniversary I woke up the whole family to run the  Suffield Fireman's 5k.  I had been training for  weeks and really wanted them to come watch but thought it would be even better if they ran too.  My son ended up beating me and my daughter finished right on my heels.  Two new runners were discovered.  My son began running at the middle school that fall and my daughter began running when she entered the middle school.  DJ runs year round at the high school participating in Cross Country, Indoor Track and Outdoor Track.  Monique runs Cross Country and Outdoor Track at the Middle School and is looking forward to running with her brother at the high school next year.  I go to most of their meets and enjoy taking  pictures of the team when they are in action.  I enjoy running, biking, swimming and sports of all kinds.  I have lived in Suffield since 1991.  My husband and I moved here knowing the great reputation this town has for our schools and community.  I grew up in Granville Massachusetts with a small class of 25 students.  I wanted my kids to have the small town childhood I had, but not quite as small.  Suffield has been a great fit for me and my family.  I am excited to be a blogger for the Suffield Patch.  My love of sports and the kids has led me here.
