Our Companions Adoption Event
Saturday, 10 a.m. – If you are considering adopting a pet, stop by and say "hello" in Manchester! In conjunction with the "Seeing Double" campaign, several bonded pairs will be at the event waiting to meet you. Applications will be collected, but pets will not be adopted on the day of the event. For complete details, call 860-242-9999, ext. 302.

Come Slide! Water Slide and Games
Saturday, 1 p.m. – Come enjoy the last Water Slide of the summer in Glastonbury! Free and open to everyone. Fun for the entire family. Invite your friends! For complete information, visit www.gccefc.org.

Light The Night Walk
Saturday, 5 p.m. – A fundraiser and walk to help find a cure for cancer at the Promenade Shops at Evergreen Walk in South Windsor. During this leisurely walk, Champions for Cures carry illuminated balloons – white for survivors, red for supporters, and gold in memory of loved ones that were lost to cancer. Thousands of walkers – men, women and children – form a community of caring, and bring a light to the dark world of cancer.

Straw Gliders
Sunday, 10 a.m. – Design a glider at the New England Air Museum built around a straw that will glide the longest distance possible in a straight line. Visitors will also have the chance to discover the Museum's 80 aircraft, and participate in a variety of activities.

SOMERSault Jungle Gymnastics Grand Opening
Sunday, 1 p.m. – Join SOMERSault gym as it opens its doors to the public for the first time. The gym will have free face painting, balloons, snacks, and a gymnastics show. Gymnastics apparel will also be available for purchase. Staff will be available for questions and class registration.
