Springfield Rebuilding Together Fundraiser Set for July 26

Rebuilding Together Springfield will hold a fundraiser for families affected by the tornado and severe weather that damaged Springfield and Western Massachusetts in early June.

Rebuilding Together Springfield, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping low-income families affected by June severe weather disasters in Springfield, MA, will hold a fundraiser at the Basketball Hall of Fame on Tuesday, July 26.

A $20 ticket gets attendees two hours of appetizers, entertainment, cash bar access, a raffle and a silent auction at Max's Tavern at the Basketball Hall of Fame at 1000 West Columbus Ave. in Springfield from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Money raised from the event will go towards reconstruction efforts.

As organizations like FEMA and the Red Cross provided immediate assistance after the disasterous effects of June's severe weather, including tornadoes, in Springfield and the surrounding area, Rebuilding Together focuses on long-term efforts to restore and rebuild homes for low-income families in the area.

"With your support, we will be able to reconstruct homes for low-income families impacted by this storm, so they may live in an affordable and preserved home, years after the wreckage has disappeared," a press release from the organization said.
