Suffield Track Athlete Sets SHS Record

Suffield High School senior Peri Stevens broke the school record for the 55-meter hurdles on Jan. 17.

senior Peri Stevens set a school record on Jan. 17 when she finished at the top of the girls 55-meter hurdles rankings in the North Central Connecticut Conference (NCCC) indoor track championship.

Stevens' school-record score of 8.99 was one of many exceptional performances on the day both Wildcats track teams. The girls won the NCCC championship while the boys team finished second in the rankings.
