The Suffield Board of Education shared their thoughts on the memorandum of understanding proposed by the Board of Finance.

The Board of Education's meeting at Suffield Middle School on Monday was the first time the board discussed the memorandum, which aims to limit operational budget increases over the next three to four years from the Boards of Education, Finance and Selectmen. The limited spending will offset tax increases that would occur if the proposed package of bonding projects are passed by the town.

“I think we’re agreeing to minimize [operation] budgets to keep that tax increase in check,” said Board of Finance member Brian Kost at that board's meeting on Monday, Feb. 14.
