Suffield Marketing Firm Earns Business Award

Windsor Marketing Group received the Best Workforce Practices award at the 12th annual Business Champions Award breakfast.


The Suffield-based Windsor Marketing Group (WMG), was honored Thursday at the 12th Annual Business Champions Award breakfast in the Workforce practices category.

The ceremony, held at the Connecticut Convention Center, recognizes the achievements of the region's privately-held companies. WMG was selected from nearly 60 companies that had been nominated in various categories.

The company received the Best Workforce Practices award from the Metro Hartford Alliance and Hartford Business Journal, recognizing WMG for its efforts to inspire its employees.

Mickey Herbert of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care presented the award to WMG CEO Kevin Armata, who founded the in-store marketing group in 1976 and now serves more than 3,000 retailer around the country.

"We are honored to be recognized for our workforce practices," said Armata. "We know that in building a world class organization, like WMG, our people are our greatest asset."
