Suffield Schools Have Full Schedule Ahead

Keep an eye on the school websites for lots of important events in the next few weeks. For now, Patch shares a few dates to put on the calendar.

Thursday, Jan. 17: "Common Core State Standards - What Parents Need to Know" Suffield Middle School Auditorium. This is a rescheduled meeting due to Wednesday's snow day. From 6-9 p.m. administrators will share with middle school and McAlister parents the effects the new state standards and curriculum will have on students grades 6, 7 and 8 next year.

Friday, Jan 18: Fun Night sponsored by the Suffield Middle School Parent Teacher Advisory Council from 7-9 p.m. in the gym.

Monday, Jan 21: All Suffield Schools will be closed for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. Some sports teams, however, will continue to hold practices so check with coaches.

Tuesday, Jan 22-25: Suffield High School will hold mid-term exams and have early release days.

Saturday, Feb. 2T. G. I. S. Night Snack, Dinner, Movies and more. An event for students in grades 3 – 6 in the Suffield Middle School gym and café. The cost is $25 for a snack, dinner and dessert with proceeds to be donated to Student Activities Funds.

Thursday, Feb. 7:    The Spaulding Winter Concert. AM Kindergarten and Gr. 1 parents are invited to the 9:30 a.m. performance.  PM Kindergarten and Gr. 2 parents are invited to the 1 p.m. performance.  In case of school delay or cancellation, the concert will be held on February 8.

Sunday, Feb. 10: Kindergarten Traditions at Bradley Bowl at 1 p.m.
