Suffield Grapplers Prevail Over Enfield

Four Wildcats record pins in 39-29 victory.

Suffield jumped to an early 24-0 lead en route to a 39-29 victory over host Enfield in NCCC wrestling action Wednesday night.

Four Wildcats recorded pins during the match, with Dillon Lisk and Matt Guilmette picking up pinfall victories in less than 30 seconds. Tristen Cauley and Will Szozda also won by pin, while Bruce D'Agata won his match by decision.

For Enfield, Jake Silva and Brian Murphy recorded pinfall wins, while Victor Attisso prevailed by technical fall.

Suffield will wrestle at Suffield Academy Saturday, while Enfield will be competing at the Fairfield Ludlowe tournament that same day.

Six matches didn't even have competition, sad. Guess this is one sport that will benefit from Enfield's high school consolidation.
