Suffield Boys Win Second Straight Class M Soccer Championship

Wildcats defeat Bacon Academy 3-2 in double overtime for back-to-back state titles.

Ryan Della Penna scored near the midway point of the first overtime period, and Suffield held off Bacon Academy to post a 3-2 victory in the Class M boys soccer finals Friday at Middletown High School.

The Wildcats captured the title for the second straight year, matching last season's 19-1 record.

Suffield grabbed a 2-0 lead in the first half, but Bacon Academy came back to tie the score shortly after intermission.
