SHS Production of 'You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown' Opens Friday

The Suffield High School spring musical sings the praises of a cartoon kid, his loyal beagle and his band of friends this weekend.

The Suffield High School spring musical, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, opens Friday, April 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the high school's auditorium.

The stage production is based on Charles Schultz's comic strip Peanuts. It tells the classic tale of Charlie Brown, a kid with bad luck but a lot of determination, and his group of friends.

"It's really the cartoon come to life," said Director Lyle Pearsons, who pointed out that the scenery has a very cartoonish look.

The musical is typically written for a small cast of main characters from the comic strip, but this year's production was expanded.
