Teen Safety

Please join the Suffield Public Schools in a discussion regarding Teen Safety on Tuesday, March 22 at 6:30 p.m. in the Suffield High School Auditorium.

The Suffield Public Schools has formed a coalition to address teen safety.  Police, town and school personnel have committed to actively working together to enforce the safety-related rules and laws that are particularly relevant to adolescents (i.e. licensing laws, underage drinking, etc.)  As part of this new initiative, Suffield High School will host Yifrah YK, Kaminer, M.D., M.B.A. Professor of Psychiatry and Pediatrics from the University of Connecticut.

Dr. Kaminer’s main clinical interests and research lie in the spectrum of adolescent high risk behaviors.  In particular, the assessment and treatment of substance use disorders (SUD).
