Sunday Alcohol Sales Now Legal in Connecticut

This Sunday will be the first time that Sunday alcohol sales will be permissible under the new law.

This Sunday, Connecticut residents will be able to do something that they haven't been able to do in a very long time - walk into a package store or supermarket and buy alcohol.

According to the Hartford Courant, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy has signed the Sunday liquor sales bill into law.

A spokesman for Malloy's office said a formal bill signing ceremony is planned for later in the week.
