FRANK BAUCHIERO, JR., GOP candidate for the zoning and planning commission

Frank has served on the Zoning & Planning commission for 12 years, the past four as chairman. Frank grew up in Suffield, attended Suffield High School and raised a family in town.

He started and currently owns and operates The FEB Companies, LLC., which has been located in Suffield for the last 26 years. He has worked on many homes and commercial landscaping and construction projects in the community. He is a past volunteer coach for girls’ softball and has served on many ad-hoc committees.

If elected, Frank will continue to protect farm land and open space as well as encourage commercial and industrial development where appropriate.

CHESTER KURAS, GOP candidate for the zoning and planning commission

Chet presently serves on the Zoning and Planning Commission and Heritage Committee.

He has previously held the following Town positions: First Selectman, member
of the Board of Assessment Appeals, member of the Farmland Preservation Committee, Director of the North Central Health District, Director of the Hartford Soil and Water Conservation, and Chairman of the Suffield Conservation Commission.

Chet holds a BS in Soil Science and a Masters in Public Administration.

GINA PASTULA, GOP candidate for the zoning and planning commission

Gina has served as Zoning and Planning Alternate for the past two years. If elected, she will work to maintain the Town’s character while supporting appropriate economic development.

Gina holds a BS degree in accounting from the University of Hartford. She is co-owner of a local family business. She is married with two daughters.

BRUCE REMINGTON, GOP candidate for water pollution control authority

Bruce has served for many years as a member of the WPCA and is currently Chairman. During his service he has led the agency through significant growth and expansion.

He previously served as Second Selectman and as a member of the Board of Finance. He has been a community leader and volunteer all of his adult life. A Suffield native, Bruce and his wife, Kathleen, are the parents of three grown children and seven grandchildren, all of whom reside in Suffield.

WALLACE RODGER, GOP candidate for water pollution control authority

Wally, who was elected to the WPCA in 2003, has served as Vice Chairman and presently serves as Treasurer.

He is a graduate of Amherst College and Northwestern University School of Law.
Wally is retired from MassMutual Life and was Director and Treasurer of the Suffield Community Center Association, Inc.

He is a proofreader for the Suffield Observer, a counselor for AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program, a counselor for the Money Management Program and Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee of his church.

R. MICHAEL KELLEY, GOP candidate for water pollution control authority

Mike earned a BA from Boston College and an MA from Western Connecticut State University.

He is currently President of Northeast Concierge Network, LLC based in Suffield. Mike and his wife Anne have lived in Suffield for nearly 30 years. He is currently a member of the Suffield Republican Town Committee. Through his church, Mike has done mission work in Central and South America.

If elected, Mike hopes to utilize his business background to continue the work of the WPCA to increase the proficiency of the agency.

IAN URCH, GOP candidate for water pollution control authority

Ian is seeking a full term on the WPCA having joined the Commission a year ago.

Ian has lived in Suffield for over 30 years. He and his wife have two children. As a project manager for The FEB Companies, he brings practical knowledge and problem solving to the management of the WPCA.

JAMES WOOD, GOP candidate for board of assessment appeals

Jim retired from the First National Bank of Suffield in 2006 after serving for many years as the President. He remains active in community service through the
Suffield Rotary Club.

Jim looks forward to serving on the Board of Assessment Appeals for his second term where his banking experience has proven very beneficial. Jim and his wife Renee have resided in West Suffield for 19 years.
