SCOTT LINGENFELTER, GOP candidate for board of finance

Scott is seeking to serve on the Board of Finance after previously serving the Town as First Selectman for four and a half years.

He plans to provide leadership to the Board and to find ways to restrain the burden on taxpayers. Prior to his service on the Board of Selectman, Scott was a member of the Board of Education.

Scott is an attorney and currently works in private practice with the law firm of Marc N. Needleman. He is a Suffield native and a graduate of Suffield High School. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Hartford and his law degree from the UConn School of Law. Scott, his wife Heather, and their three children live in West Suffield.

MARY LOU SANBORN, GOP candidate for board of education

Mary Lou is seeking a second term on the Board of Education.

She brings a wealth of community service in her capacity as a past President of
Spaulding School PTO, CCD teacher, a President of Sacred Heart Church Parish Council and past president of Suffield Garden Club.

She and her family have lived in Suffield for 28 years. If re-elected,Mary Lou will focus on the development of a 3-5 year strategic plan which will provide students with 21st century learning skills.

SCOTT SCHNEIDER, GOP candidate for board of education

Scott has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA degree from Rensselaer at Hartford.

He is an engineer with Hamilton Sundstrand with over 30 years of experience. He and his wife Lois and two children have lived in Suffield for over 24 years.

He is currently the chairman of the Christian Education Committee for Second Baptist Church and a Sunday school teacher. He is also involved in the Boy Scouts. If elected, Scott will further improve the quality of education, encourage better communication between all parties and look to develop efficiencies with the available resources.
