“My priorities during my first term and my priorities for re-election remain true. I am focused on jobs, education and the community,” O’Brien said. “During my time in office and listening to the residents of East Granby, Suffield and Windsor, I have consistently heard issues from our voters. We made tremendous progress on these issues, and if re-elected, I will continue the work we’ve done in these areas.”

O’Brien, a mother of three grown boys and resident of Suffield, has a long history of community involvement including PTO, Board of Education, and Rotary International. She is proud of her service and commitment to the community and enjoys the opportunity to speak and listen to her constituents.

“Campaign season is such a positive reminder that my job as State Rep is to serve the citizens, and that begins with strong communication with the residents,” noted O’Brien. “Campaigning encourages you to meet with the voters and continue to understand what is important to them.”

O’Brien is enthusiastic about the upcoming election.

“We have made a lot of progress, but there is still a lot that can and needs to be done,” she added. “I look forward to hearing from voters and discussing accomplishments of the past session and the voter concerns for the future.”

O’Brien and her campaign began seeking sponsors this summer to host election debates in East Granby, Suffield, and Windsor.

“Campaign debates are the cornerstone of our democratic system,” said O’Brien. “Debates are a great way for voters to hear the candidates while informing themselves about their stance on important issues.”
