Suffield Police Still Seeking Attacker in Sexual Assault Case

A Suffield woman was brutally attacked Friday night by an intruder who remains at large.

Just over 48 hours after a Suffield woman was viciously attacked at gunpoint and sexually assaulted in her home, police are still searching for a suspect in the case.

The attack took place Friday night on Thrall Avenue, when Suffield police were called to a residence for a reported assault, Lt. Richard Brown said.

Upon arrival, police forced their way into the house after seeing the woman through the window lying on the floor, Brown said.

Authorities are looking for a white man between the ages of 25 and 40. He is described as about 6-foot to 6-feet, 2-inches tall with a muscular build. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt covered by a red flannel shirt, jeans, work boots, a ski mask and black gloves. The man is reported to be armed with a handgun.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Suffield Police Department at 860-668-3870.
