Memorial Service for Fallen Firefighter Scheduled for Sunday

Suffield's fire house No. 2 on Ratley Road is the site for Paul Simison's memorial service, to be held Sunday at 3 p.m.

A memorial service for Suffield volunteer firefighter Paul Simison will be held Sunday, April 1 at Suffield fire station No. 2 on Ratley Road at 3 p.m. The service is open to the public.

Simison's life and accomplishments will be remembered and honored at the service. Simison's work as an audiologist and 25-year volunteer career with the Suffield Fire Department, including community outreach with the fireman's association 5k run and fireman's carnival, made a place for him in the hearts and minds of many members of the Suffield community.

A tragic two-car accident on Mountain Road resulted in Simison's death on Wednesday, March 28.
