Original Story:

Massachusetts state and local police searched Lake Congamond Sunday after a man jumped into the water in the early morning and didn't resurface, but officers didn't find anything despite hours of work.

Larry Cauley, a Suffield High School graduate and former member of the school's wrestling team, is the missing man according to an e-mail sent to Suffield Public School staff.

The incident occured around 1:25 a.m., according to Massachusetts Environmental Police spokesperson Catherine Williams. The search will continue Monday morning when police return to the lake.

Cauley was identified as a 22-year-old Southwick resident by masslive.com. That article said police closed the lake's public boat launch while the search was conducted.

The Massachusetts Environmental Police are leading the search because the incident happened in the lake, which falls under the organization's jurisdiction.
