So Laurence “Father of the Year” and Zac take their leave, which is fine with me, as I could not stand that man. But I would’ve been equally happy had Jeremy and Sandy taken the dive. Sheesh. Was her passive-aggressive backseat navigating a sight to behold? Tonight, “A team hopes for a lucky break after making a potentially game-altering mistake; the contestants wear revealing swimsuits during a detour task.”
Woody Allen: American Masters, 9 p.m., PBS (check listings)
This has gotten terrific reviews. I am less a 21st century fan of Woody Allen than I am a 20th century fan of him, and I read that this has lots of footage from his stand-up and early film days. “Beginning with Allen’s childhood and his first professional gigs as a teen — furnishing jokes for comics and publicists — American Masters – Woody Allen: A Documentary chronicles the trajectory and longevity of Allen’s career.”
