it's not always just ice and snow

Emily posted this photo earlier today from Lillehammer, Norway - she loves "living in the clouds."  Of course, when the team is competing in Norway in just 2 months from now, it will look much more like winter.  But for now, what a beautiful dreamy place! 

Unfortunately, after Emily posted this photo, she had her first official crash of the season.  Luge can be an unpredictable sport and even the most experienced sliders hit the track walls.  Last year, she was heavily injured from crashes early in the season - but we haven't heard that today's was nearly as painful and we're choosing to think positive.  Maybe we'll be lucky and she'll get it all out of her system before coming home on Friday...?
