It's time to brush the cobwebs off your bicyle and get read to ride. The 2012 Suffield Pan Mass Challenge Kids Ride is scheduled for Saturday, May 12, tobenefit the Jimmy Fund.
All children between the ages of 3- and 15-years-old are invited to take part in this event, the first of its kind held in Suffield.
The ride will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the , 260 Mountain Rd. The price is $15 per cyclist.
The ride features two paths, a small loop for young riders in the McAlister Intermediate School parking lot and a loop up Hill Street and back to the school, approximately 5 miles in all, for older riders. Numerous volunteers will staff both loops and security measures will include slow-moving patrol vehicles and radio communication.
All proceeds for the race go the Jimmy Fund, with 100 percent of rider donations qualifying as tax deductible. Visit the website for more information www.kids.pmc.org
