The Suffield Players announce their Annual Holiday Benefit Challenge production of Happy Hollandaise by Tim Koenig, directed by Jeffrey Flood.
December 6 and 7 at 8 pm, December 8 at 2 pm in Mapleton Hall
1305 Mapleton Avenue Suffield CT 0078
All Claire Finley wants is the perfect Christmas. Unfortunately, her deliciously planned holiday dinner is disrupted by burglars, bumps-on-the-head and bedlam. Claire tries to keep everything together as things continue to unravel in this side-splitting farce reminiscent of Arsenic and Old Lace. Once all the mayhem dies down, however, the true Christmas spirit shines bright in a surprise ending involving transformation, forgiveness, and a beautiful new beginning.
Happy Hollandaise features the talents of Mark Proulx, Kelly Seip, Dana Ring, Freddie Rodriguez, Gabrielle Howe, John Fabiani, Logan Lopez and Vanda Doyle.
The show will be presented as a staged reading, performed with scripts in hand. Created with a minimum of rehearsals and a maximum of creativity, Happy Hollandaise is a benefit production for the group, with all proceeds going toward the upkeep and maintenance of the Players' historic theatre home, Mapleton Hall. All performances will be accompanied by the traditional "Holiday Teacup Raffle," in which audience members bid on lovely baskets chock full of donated goods and gift certificates at intermission, as well as before and after the show.
General seating only; no reservations are required. Tickets will be available at the door, with a $10 donation suggested.
