Dave Scozzari and the Human Race Perform at Simsbury Historical Society

The Simsbury Historical Society’s new free concert series showcasing
Connecticut’s top musical talent concludes Saturday,
June 14 at 7 pm
with Dave Scozzari
and the Human Race
, a 7-piece vocal jazz ensemble based out of Hartford,
CT. A recent graduate of the Jackie McLean Institute of Jazz, Scozzari has
performed and recorded with several world-renowned musicians, including Stave
Davis, Nat Reeves, Sue Terry, Kris Allen and Aaron Flagg. The concert will be
held outdoors in the gardens of the Simsbury Historical Society, behind the
Phelps Tavern Museum. Concessions will be sold at the event, but attendees are
encouraged to bring a picnic, along with a blanket, chair, and friends! Admission
is free to the public; all donations will benefit local artists and musicians,

The Simsbury
Historical Society
 is a non-profit educational corporation founded in
1911 through a bequest of Abbie Sexton Barber to begin a “Historical Room” in
Simsbury.  The Society’s first and current permanent home was
acquired in 1962 through the gift of the Phelps family household. Today, the
Simsbury Historical Society continues its stewardship of period and modern
buildings, artifact and manuscript collections, and special events and
workshops, which afford the public the opportunity to research and enjoy
