What's Open in Suffield?

We know most of what's open and available in town. Tell us about the ones we've missed.

Although some of the major hurricane and power outage supply providers are closed Sunday in Suffield, other businesses are open and welcoming customers.

The Suffield Inn and West Suffield Mini Mart, both on Mountain Road, are providing shelter from the wet, windy weather and giving patrons the chance to get essentials and creature comforts. West Suffield Mini Mart has water and other supplies and the Suffield Inn has full bar and food service.

"It's better to stay here," said Sam Gotra, proprietor of West Suffield Mini Mart. "People can [come in and] get what they need."

Miguel Mendoza, who runs the Suffield Inn, said the restaurant will stay open unless the power goes out. He's happy to offer a hot meal to Suffield residents who may be without power themselves.

Suffield Pizza is open as well.

CVS, Highland Park Market and many of the businesses in Suffield Village, Francesco's, Food Bag, Dunkin' Donuts on Mountain Road, all of the businesses at Ebbs Corner and others were closed Sunday afternoon.
