2. The Suffield Board of Selectmen endorsed a request for additional funds to add a fire pump to Suffield High School and the new vocational agricultural building.

4. A procession and ceremony to mark the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks is scheduled for Saturday at 6 p.m., starting at Ffyler Place and progressing to the veterans park at the center of town.

5. The recent activation of the town's emergency operations center and shelter during the course of Hurricane Irene was "a really good, real-time test" for the town's emergency management and response personnel, according to First Selectman Tom Frenaye.
