Monday Morning Storm Update from First Selectman Tom Frenaye

An update on what's open, what's closed and how the town is responding to the effects of the storm.

The Emergency Shelter at Suffield High School remains open. It is possible to stop by during the day to recharge electronic devices and they are serving meals. Showers are also available.

CL&P has at least one crew designated for work in town today, with the priority to clear wires and trees on roads that are blocked. Restoration of power will still likely take several more days. Again, be very careful with downed power lines – do not attempt to clear them yourself.

The Suffield public schools are closed. Town offices will be open but some offices may offer limited services.
