April 1: April Fools Day

1. There will be some snow on the ground as the morning begins and rain and snow are predicted until 1 p.m., when the precipitation will change to all rain. There is a 90 percent overall chance of precipitation during the day and less than a half inch of accumulation is expected. The high temperature today is 40 °F. There is a 40 percent chance of precipitation tonight – rain before midnight and snow between midnight and 2 a.m. The overnight low is 31 °F. There is a winter weather advisory in effect tomorrow, according to the National Weather Service.

2. Remember, today is April Fools Day. We don't have any tricks planned, but if you hear something that's too good to be true, it probably is.

3. Look for a new edition of "That's What She Said" from Cami Beiter today on Suffield Patch.

4. Satinwood, from East Windsor, will perform a tribute to Harry Chapin at Suffield Middle School on Sunday at 4 p.m. Chapin's former band mates, Big John Wallace  and Howard Fields, will perform along with the band. All proceeds will benefit the Suffield Emergency Aid Association. Tickets are available here.
