Suffield Business Receives 2014 Business Champions Award


Hartford, Conn. (June 5, 2014) – The 2014 Business Champions Awards Breakfast, produced in partnership by the Hartford Business Journal and MetroHartford Alliance, kicked-off the Connecticut Business Expo on June 5th  by honoring seven privately held companies within the region in the categories of innovation, community involvement, workforce practices, revenue growth and the best new start-up.

 

“We are delighted to recognize this year’s honorees,” said Gail Lebert, publisher of the Hartford Business Journal. “These companies represent the vitality and strength of Connecticut’s business community and we wish them continued success.”

  • Overall: BL Companies, Inc. (Meriden)
  • Revenue:  Numotion (Rocky Hill)
  • Workforce Practices: Windsor Marketing Group (Suffield)
  • Community Involvement: Fichman Eye Center (Manchester)
  • Innovation: ACT Group (Cromwell);  CyVek, Inc. (Wallingford)
  • Best New Start-Up:  Premier Accounting Group, LLC (Marlborough)

Winners were required to be a privately held business or a stand-alone division of a privately held business; a for-profit organization; and located in one of the 61 towns of Greater Hartford.  

 

The 2014 Business Champions Awards was presented by: Hartford Business Journal and MetroHartford Alliance.
