High and Low Fuel Prices for July 14

Connecticut’s average per-gallon price for gasoline hit $3.97 on Thursday, 31 cents more than the national average per-gallon price of $3.66. Connecticut is among the 10 states with the highest gas prices.
National and state average prices have remained relatively steady over the past month, according to AAA. But gas prices have increased significantly during the last year, as gallon of gas costs 95 cents more across the nation than it did in July 2010. A gallon costs $1.11 more in Connecticut than it did one year ago.
Take a look at the highest and lowest gas prices in the area, as well as the lowest prices in bordering Massachusetts towns. All prices are for regular unleaded gasoline, reported to AAA and gasbuddy.com during the past 48 hours. Prices may vary.
