High and Low Fuel Prices for Aug. 18
Find the cheapest and most expensive prices for gasoline in north central Connecticut and the best deals in the surrounding area.
Connecticut residents are paying an average of $3.94 per gallon of gas Tuesday, 35 cents more than the national per-gallon average of $3.59. Connecticut gas prices remain the second highest in the nation. Hawaii has been the fuel price leader this summer. Its $4.11 average per-gallon price is the country’s highest.
The national per-gallon average has remained steady since Tuesday, Aug. 16. The Connecticut state average fell 1 cent in the same period, according to AAA.
Take a look at the highest and lowest gas prices in the area, as well as the lowest prices in bordering Massachusetts towns. All prices are for regular unleaded gasoline, reported to AAA and gasbuddy.com during the past 48 hours. Prices may vary:
