On Wednesday nights on Suffield's Town Green, families gather to celebrate summer with music and entertainment.
"The children who were there (last performance) had a great time dancing," said Suffield resident Cheryl Conley. "New friendships were made and my overall feeling was that the night was beautiful."
Conley has become a fan of the town concerts and hopes to see larger attendance as summer goes on.
"It's always nice to do something in your hometown... I often hear residents complain about the lack of activities in town, but the activities we do have are under-attended," she explained.
The summer concerts are held at the Town Green near the gazebo on Wednesday nights. Lynn Lewis and Friends perform tonight from 6:30-7:30 p.m., followed by McIntire the Magician on July 25 from 6:30-7:15 p.m.
The concerts are sponsored by the Suffield Parks and Recreation Department and the Friends of Suffield.
Concerts are held rain or shine; in the event of rain, these events will be held in First Church of Christ Congregational, Fellowship Hall.
