Polar Express Chugs To Suffield

Suffield youngsters took a ride on the Polar Express during a special holiday event both Tuesday night and Wednesday morning at the Kent Memorial Library.

The preschoolers at the Polar Express Storytime found new excitement around every turn.

First children's librarian Wendy Taylor read the Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg, then they received tickets from train conductor Lester Smith. If that wasn't enought they stepped out into the hall to board ready-made boxcars that travelled around the library. When they returned a special guest, none other than Santa, was there to greet them for milk and cookies.

The event was sponsored by the Friends of the Kent Memorial Library.
