Get Your Green On This Weekend In Suffield

The civic event hosted by the Friends of Suffield takes over the Town Green and features booths representing school groups, Scouts, churches, local sports teams, town emergency services, day cares and other local businesses.

Also part of the festivities is the crafts fair at the Hatheway House on Main Street featuring 70 artists and crafters. Admission is $1 for adults.

Streets near the Town Green be closed Saturday at 5:45 p.m. for a Memorial Parade for the Anniversary of September 11th.

After walking the green, visitors can take in kettle corn, baked goods and baked potatos sold by Boy Scout Troop 66 which features sweet and regular taters slathered with goodies like sour cream or marshmallows. The ever popular Suffield Rotary chicken dinner is held on the south green.
