Get Your Green On This Weekend In Suffield

Suffield On The Green, the town's annual Fall social, is set for Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. A special parade on Saturday at 5 p.m. will lead to a memorial service to commemorate September 11.

It's that time of year again when the town gathers on the green to check out what's new in community organizations, nosh on the infamous Knights of Columbus chicken dinner and listen to local talent take to the stage.

Suffield On The Green starts Saturday morning and continues on through Sunday night. The civic event hosted by the Friends of Suffield takes over the Town Green and features booths representing school groups, Scouts, churches, local sports teams, town emergency services, day cares and other local businesses.

Also part of the festivities is the crafts fair at the Hatheway House on Main Street featuring 70 artists and crafters. Admission is $1 for adults.
