I was not sure how things would progress when Jack settled down with Avery. Could this have been a shark-jumping plot twist, I wondered. Well, last week’s episode put all my fears to rest. I do not think I stopped laughing the entire episode. Seriously, if they gave those two a spin-off, call it, oh I don’t know, Mad Man and Woman?, then I would be tickle pink. The whole never quit thing (“I have 9,000 badges”), the meth lab, the refusal to accept free health care … hysterical, all of it. Pure genius.
Bones, 9 p.m., Fox
Oh my. First this season Bones cries to Booth that she made a mistake when she rejected him, and then last week Booth came as near to tears as he likely ever has when he tells her about Hannah’s refusal to marry him. Poor Booth. I hope for his sake it’s not three strikes, he’s out. He could easily find himself at the top of a tower, with a sniper rifle.
Royal Pains, 9 p.m., USA
It’s official. I’m done. Just deleted the backlog off the DVR. Feels good.
