Volunteers Deck the Hathaway House Halls

Tickets are still available for the Suffield Garden Club's "Homes for the Holidays" held Dec. 7, 8 and 9. Visitors can enjoy period homes on Main Street decorated for the holiday season.

Get into the Christmas spirit on Saturday and Sunday, December 8th and 9th from 12 to 5 pm, and tour the Phelps-Hatheway House & Garden and the two private homes at 60 and 78 South Main Street as part of Homes for Holidays.

Local and White House Floral Designer, Ruth Loiseau, partners with members of the Suffield Garden Club, to feature a winter-wonderland of fresh flowers and local greens and materials at the Suffield Phelps-Hatheway House. 

Children can also participate with a special holiday craft activity.

After touring the Phelps-Hatheway House & Garden, visitors can cross the street to Julia Roberts' (formerly Emma Fuller's) 1824 house at 60 South Main Street and Janet and Dave Leishman's 1767 house at 78 South Main Street. These home are decorated by members of the Suffield Garden Club also and feature the talents of many local artisans.

Loiseau, of Suffield, is a nationally renowned master floral designer and owner of Ruth L. She has worked at the White House as an SBA since the Reagan administration and continues to assist with special events during the current administration.

Homes for the Holidays Suffield is sponsored by First Niagara Private Client Services, the First National Bank of Suffield, Heritage Funeral Home and Highland Park Market.
