Five things Suffield residents should know for Tuesday, April 9.

Good morning, Suffield! Today is Tuesday, April 9, 2013; there are 266 days left in the year.

Here's your Daily 5:

1. The Suffield High School boys and girls track teams host a tri-meet Tuesday against NCCC rivals Stafford and Somers at 4 p.m. The baseball team also plays at home, entertaining Somers at 3:45 p.m. Softball, boys lacrosse, boys tennis and boys golf play on the road Tuesday.

2. Congratulations to Suffield resident Jason Lobo, who took the oath of office as a Superior Court judge in a ceremony Monday at the State Capitol. 

3. April 9 is Winston Churchill DayName Yourself Day and Chinese Almond Cookie Day.

4. Tuesday will be mostly sunny and breezy, with a high temperature near 70, according to the National Weather Service forecast. Tuesday night will be increasingly cloudy with a chance of showers, and a low around 47.
