Thunderstruck, High School Sports and Eggs Benedict: Suffield's Daily 5

Five things Suffield residents should know for Tuesday, April 16.

Good morning, Suffield! Today is Tuesday, April 16, 2013; there are 259 days left in the year.

Here's your Daily 5:

1. Thunderstruck, a 2012 film featuring NBA superstar Kevin Durant, will be shown at the Kent Memorial Library Tuesday at 2 p.m. The movie is rated PG.

2. Despite this week being school vacation, there is still plenty of Wildcat sports action going on. Tuesday's lineup includes: 

  • Boys tennis, Granby at Suffield, 3:45 p.m.
  • Softball, Enfield at Suffield, 3:45 p.m.
  • Girls tennis, Suffield at Granby, 3:45 p.m.
  • Boys lacrosse, Suffield at Somers, 4 p.m.
  • Boys and girls track, Suffield and Coventry at East Windsor, 4 p.m.
  • Girls lacrosse, Somers at Suffield, 7 p.m.
3. April 16 is National Eggs Benedict DayNational Stress Awareness Day and National Librarian Day.

4. Tuesday will be mostly cloudy, with a high temperature near 66, according to the National Weather Service forecast. Tuesday night will be cloudy with a chance of showers, and a low around 45.
