Five things Suffield residents should know for Friday, April 12.

Good morning, Suffield! Today is Friday, April 12, 2013; there are 263 days left in the year.

Here's your Daily 5:

1. "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" will be screened Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Kent Memorial Library. The film is rated PG-13.

2. There is limited action scheduled Friday for Suffield High School varsity teams. Softball hosts Tolland at 3:45 p.m., while girls tennis travels to East Granby, also at 3:45 p.m.

3. April 12 is National Licorice DayBig Wind Day and Look Up at the Sky Day.

4. Friday will be rainy with gusty winds, and a high temperature near 44, according to the National Weather Service forecast. Friday night will be cloudy with rain likely, and a low around 37.
