Five things Suffield residents should know for Monday, April 29.

Good morning, Suffield! Today is Monday, April 29, 2013; there are 246 days left in the year.

1. Tickets are on sale for the Suffield Players' upcoming performances of William Shakespeare's As You Like It. The show opens this Thursday, May 2, and runs Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. through May 18, with a special Sunday matinee on May 12 at 2 p.m. For ticket information, visit www.suffieldplayers.org.

2. Award-winning author Andre Dubus III will speak Tuesday, April 30 at the Kent Memorial Library in a kickoff fundraiser sponsored by the Suffield Public Library Foundation. Tickets are $15, and are available at the library.

3. April 29 is National Shrimp Scampi DayGreenery Day and Zipper Day.

4. Monday will be mostly cloudy, with a high temperature near 66, according to the National Weather Service forecast. Monday night will be mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers, and a low around 41.
