While it might seem as if all of Suffield goes on vacation during the summer, there's still a lot going on in various corners of the town.
Dozens of Suffield kids as well as many campers from all over the area came to Suffield Academy for Basketball World Camp last month. The full-day camp keeps players busy with drills, games and swimming all week long.
Families grabbed take-out or packed a picnic and headed to the Town Green July 25 for McIntyre the Magician. The magician and his friends entertained the large crowd with interactive magic and comedy. The event was sponsored by Suffield Parks and Recreation and the Friends of Suffield.
And hot weather couldn't keep tennis fans off the courts at the Community Recreation Complex behind McAlister School. While players served over the nets, nearby groups of young men played basketball and women and kids walked the track.
