Kids Ride, Promised Land and Military Spouses: Suffield's Daily 5
Five things Suffield residents should know for Friday, May 10.
Good morning, Suffield! Today is Friday, May 10, 2013; there are 235 days left in the year.
Here's your Daily 5:
1. The Suffield PMC Kids Ride takes place Saturday, May 11, beginning at 10 a.m. at the McAlister School. Entry fee through May 10 is $15, or $20 for onsite registration. Riders may be ages 3 through 16. All proceeds benefit The Jimmy Fund. To register, email cnikolis@cox.net.
2. Promised Land, starring Matt Damon, will be shown Friday at 2 p.m. at the Kent Memorial Library. The film is rated R.
3. May 10 is Military Spouses Day, Clean Up Your Room Day and National Shrimp Day.
4. Friday will be mostly sunny, with a high temperature near 80, according to the National Weather Service forecast. Friday night will be cloudy with scattered showers, and a low around 57.
