1. Adults are invited to join Thursday Readers, a book group that meets at 12:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month at the Kent Memorial Library. On Thursday, May 9, the group will be discussing Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot.
2. The undefeated Suffield High School softball team hosts Avon Thursday at 4 p.m. The Wildcats are currently the top-ranked team in the state in Class M.
3. May 9 is Peter Pan Day, National Train Day and Lost Sock Memorial Day.
