Retired Nun to Display Paintings at Kent Memorial Library
Opening at Suffield library will include a poetry reading.
The poetry and paintings of a local nun will be on in display this month in the Pinney Gallery of Kent Memorial Library in Suffield, according to a press release on the Hartford Courant.
Sister Maria Joseph Nace, SP, is a retired nun from the Sisters of Providence order, and is also an award-winning artist and published author.
During the month of August, Sister Maria will display her paintings at the gallery and an opening will be held Thursday, Aug. 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. Sister Maria will give poetry readings during the reception.
