The McAlister Community Celebrates Art!

McAlister Intermediate School recently completed a community Art project entitled Piece by Piece. This project was made possible by the generous grant funding by SFES! Students, teachers, faculty and community members came together to create two large tile mosaics! This SFES grant brought artists in residence, Joanne and Bruce Hunter from Danbury CT, to the school to teach and guide everyone through the tile mosaic process over a period of three days. The outcome is two beautiful murals that brought 21 st century skills and learning, to life at McAlister!
