Suffield's First Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Kicks Off SHOP SUFFIELD

Suffield, CT – The Suffield Chamber of Commerce is proud to kick off Shop Suffield with the First Annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Saturday, November 30th from 5 to 6 pm at the Suffield Village, near the statue. 

The event will be fun for the whole family featuring a holiday performance by The Around Town Singers, cookies and hot cocoa and a special visitor from the North Pole.   The Holiday tree will be adorned with ornament tags that state the needs of children and families in Suffield, i.e. hats and mittens, small denomination gift cards, toys etc.  All donations benefit the Suffield Emergency Aid and can be dropped off through December 20th at The First National Bank of Suffield, 30 Bridge St. 

The Suffield Village Shops will be open on Saturday, November 30 from 10 am to 5 pm in celebration of Shop Suffield and the Tree Lighting.  In addition there will be 10 booths throughout the Village for crafters or businesses to sell their products.  The Suffield Vo-Ag will be present pre-selling their holiday balls, wreaths and garland.

Shop Suffield is a part of the global American Express Small Business Saturday campaign that supports small business.  This year’s Shop Suffield event runs from November 30 through December 8.  Many local businesses are offering special discounts during this week so visit www.suffieldchamber.com to view these deals.
